Of course, only some lucky few can afford to own a superyacht with such amenities on board. But those who happen to be in Paris this week can enjoy a similar, or even better, experience facilitated by none other than luxury fashion house Dior. To mark this year's Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris, the legendary fashion brand has set up an opulent floating wellness center baptized Dior Spa Cruise hosted on board one of Yachts de Paris' vessels, called Excellence.
Paris is seen by many as the most beautiful city in the world, so the river Seine is the perfect avenue for such an experience. Through this project, Dior is redefining the concept of wellness and relaxation by offering guests a unique pampering journey along the picturesque Seine river.
Dior Spa Cruise takes guests on a two-hour voyage on board the stunning Excellence yacht, with one hour dedicated to lavish face and body treatments for detox, reverse aging, power, or relaxation, followed by a blissful hour reserved for various wellness and leisure activities on deck. During this time, guests have access to the yacht's pool and lounges and can take in the surroundings.
What makes this experience unique is that it all happens in lavishly appointed treatment rooms onboard the sophisticated yacht, and the guests can enjoy complete relaxation on the tranquil waters of the Seine.
This is not the first time Dior has offered the Spa Cruise experience. The project was initiated last year and was well-received by the brand's fans. The idea of a floating spa seems to take inspiration from the Bains de la Samaritaine, historic floating baths set up alongside the Pont-Neuf during the 19th century.
The Excellence vessel's interior has been specially redesigned with Dior's signature toile de jouy pattern in soft blue and beige shades. Canework accents were also added to the yacht, enhancing its sophistication.
This is a watercraft that is known to host the most elegant events on its majestic decks, adorned with copper and mahogany. The upper deck is made of teak wood and spans 1,290 square feet (120 square meters). It has an open-air sports deck, a juice bar, and a pool and allows guests on board to admire the city of lights' most iconic landmarks, like the Notre-Dame Cathedral, Grand Palais, and Musée d'Orsay.
The wellness treatments happen below deck, where guests are welcome in a luxurious reception room showcasing Dior skincare products and fragrances. From here, a corridor takes them to four single cabins and a double cabin with a lounge, where the magic happens in complete privacy and comfort.
The Dior-branded Excellence yacht is currently moored at Port Henri IV near Île Saint-Louis and will continue to take guests on wellness voyages until July 14.
