It was early March 2024 when Stellantis decided that Dodge should embark on its novel journey towards the EV lifestyle, and the US automaker presented the all-new eighth-generation Charger.
With the Challenger sent into retirement, the latest iteration of the iconic Charger returned to the classic two-door fastback coupe form factor – albeit with a twist. So, instead of an American muscle car with a big V8 under the hood and RWD, the 2024 Charger Daytona is fully electric, equipped with standard AWD, and built in Canada.

But wait, as there is more to it – there are two Daytona EV versions at the moment, with up to 670 horsepower, and the Scat Pack plus R/T models will be joined in early 2025 by the returning four-door sedan body style. Suppose anyone doesn't want to charge the batteries. In that case, the alternatives are the two- and four-door Charger Sixpack models equipped with the 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six twin-turbo engine sporting 420 or 550 horsepower.

Stellantis has made a big bet on the new Dodges featuring the STLA Large platform, and since they're highly adept at badge engineering, it may be time for a second Alfa model to adapt its Italian flair to American power. So, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has come up with an intriguing idea – the next-gen Alfa Romeo Giulia is going electric, and maybe they should just adapt the Dodge Charger EV sedan with Italian badges. This quirky thought comes from Kleber Silva, a Brazil-based virtual artist known as KDesign AG on social media, by the way.

The pixel master is no stranger to unofficial Stellantis design projects, as he recently worked on an entire set of Lancia models – roadster, CUV, sedan, and hatchback CGI variants. Now, though, he's doing the Alfa Romeo Tonale – Dodge Hornet all over again in fantasy land, only this time around, the template is the Dodge Charger Daytona, and the badge-engineered model is the Italian sedan. Well, for sure, this is not going to be everyone's cup of tea.

But for sure, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, so let's give it a chance. As it turns out, Ralph Gilles did a pretty fine job creating the simple yet catchy front end of the new Charger and morphing it with the classic Alfa Romeo triangle-shaped grille, which is no easy task. As such, the integration of Alfa design elements is less than stellar on the front fascia.

On the other hand, the side profile is much smoother, and with the classic Alfa wheels, it feels much closer to the Giulia. Last but not least, the rear is pretty interesting, especially if we see it from a three-quarters POV, and we can also mix it with the great profile. All in all, it's a mixed bag, right?
