The Devon GTX was an idea that never quite took off. The car that made its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance was the first and last product from Los Angeles-based industrial design house Devon Motorworks.
Only two were ever built, based on the chassis of the 2010 Viper and powered by a 8.4-liter V-10 engine that produces 650 horsepower (484.7 kW) at 6100 rpm and mated to a track-proven six-speed manual transmission.

The car features Lambo-style doors and aircraft-quality carbon fiber body. Chassis number 1 is a chrome and black number, and it’s going to be auctioned off at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona. It’s got no reserve on it, but we’ll remind you that the California supercar was priced at about $500,000 when new.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
