Sweden is known for a number of things, but the usual trifecta of Swedish stereotypes revolves around IKEA, hot blonde women and Volvo.
Naturally, as with just about any other country, there's much more to that, be it stereotypes or actual Swedish culture. Petrolheads on both two and four wheels are surely aware of the Ghost Rider and the Getaway in Stockholm video series.
We don't know if the protagonists of the following footage are trying to recreate some of the chases that are part of the aforementioned videos or not, but we do know that the chase below is illegal and way above what someone would consider risky.
In short, what appears to be a Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG of the R230 facelift generation – which may or may not be tuned but is surely having a derestricted top speed – is being chased by a Yamaha R1 that is also filming the shenanigans with a tank-mounted camera that also shows its speedometer and another R1 which joins in.
If the speeds shown in the video are real and the Yamaha isn't having the usual YouTube poser biker mods (which also involve modifying the speedo to show a much higher speed than the one you're actually having), then we're seeing a very dangerous and illegal stunt which we do not condone on a public road, endangering others. Keep it to the track, guys!
