Delivery Driver Saves Pepperoni Pizza Customer's Life

You don't see a thing like that every day... A pizza delivery driver saved the life of a woman after she hadn't ordered a pizza for three days. Yeah, we know, it sounds a little bit out of this world, but let us continue telling you the whole story.

First of all, we have Memphis resident Jean Wilson, a woman who ate nothing but pizza for the past three years, as WMC TV reported. It was some kind of ritual for her: every day she was calling and ordering a large pepperoni pizza, with the guys at the restaurant even admitting that sometimes, "we make her pizza every day before she even calls".

Secondly, there's delivery driver Susan Guy who gets the pizza from the restaurant and delivers it to the elderly woman, every day, almost at the same hour.

"She treats us really well,"
Guy said. "She appreciates us, and that's something we don't get in customers a lot."

But Jean Wilson hadn't called for three days in a row and, although some could say that she finally noticed that her diet isn't exactly healthy, Susan Guy knew there was something wrong with her. She then wanted to go to Wilson's house and check if everything was OK.

"He was like, 'Naw, you don't have to do that,' and I said, 'Yeah I do. Clock me out if that's what you gotta do,'"
Guy was quoted as saying by the aforementioned source.

The delivery driver arrived at the destination and, after a few attempts to talk to the old lady, she knocked on the door of a neighbor.

"And he said, 'No, maybe she's not home,'" Guy said. "And I said, 'Well, not home?' I said, 'How many times have you see her leave?' And he goes, 'Never.'"

It was then the moment when Susan Guy decided to call 911. Police arrived and broke into Wilson's house, finding the old woman lying on the ground. She had fallen on Saturday and since then, she couldn't make it to the phone. She's in stable condition at the St. Francis Hospital.
