Reading or writing about accidents that take place all over the world is sometimes fun, mostly because we're not exactly the type of guys who love to write about dead bodies but about hilarious and mostly stupid crashes with cars that worth millions. It happened again and, although some of our colleagues here at autoevolution have a large smile on their faces, others are sad.
Because one of the car involved in the crash was actually a Ford Model A that was rolled off the assembly lines in 1932. And the case is indeed the type of story you'll laugh about when going out with your friends.
So, it happened on Sunday evening in Downey, California. A 80-year old man (hey, stop swearing, he was the one driving the Model A!) tried to turn left onto Imperial Highway from Downey Avenue. At the same time, a pizza delivery guy driving a Honda tried to do the same thing, but from Imperial Highway on Downey Avenue.
What happened afterwards is just terrible. The pizza delivery guy crashed into the classic car, which by the way was fully restored, and slightly injured the old man. Of course, the delivery driver wasn't injured, although there were some thoughts here that he should be seriously punished for his mistake.
Now, if we're thinking at what happened, the Honda driver made more than one victim. Think about it. First of all, those who ordered the pizza were probably starved and they don't really give a s**t about the Model A. Secondly, the auto fans from all over the world who have never had the chance to see a Model A live...
