After we saw Nicolas Cage, Lionel Messi and Brad Pitt signing contracts with BAIC, Chery Automobiles and GM, word is that even David Beckham will join the celebrity list to advertise new vehicles in China.
According to Chinese media, David will hawk the Toyota Yaris to the Chinese market, with the automaker outlining that the fee for taking part in the sponsorship deal will be greater than his salary from AC Milan in 2008.
However, for now it is not certain that Beckham will be the new face for the Chinese Yaris, but if so, he will be the second spokesman for the model, after pop singer Zhou Jie Lun from 2008, who kind of failed with attracting new customers.
The new Toyota Yaris model will be made by Guangzhou-Toyota joint venture.
