As Brad Pitt signed a contract to promote GM’s China made Cadillac XTS, Chery Automobile hired Lionel Messi for the Riich brand vehicles and Zheijang Geely’s Volvo made a deal with Jeremy Lin in 2012, it is now time for the almighty Nicolas Cage to be the brand ambassador for BAIC (Beijing Automotive Group).
The Chinese automaker chose Nicholas for the job mainly because he is well known among their 40-year-old buyers targeted by the company.

“Cage will be our ambassador for the Senova D series that will hit the market soon,” Alex Qu, a spokesman for the company, said by phone today.

BAIC wants to grow it’s publicity as the launch of the new Senova brand is scheduled for the second quarter of this year. Nicolas Cage will appear in a TV commercial in May, as the automaker said.
