Dave Ryan Spotted Inside Ferrari's Motor Home at Silverstone

Just when it seemed the relationship within the Great Circle between Ferrari and McLaren was getting better, a report from the British media comes to spoil the whole thing. Although not confirmed by either of the two parties, it seems McLaren's former sporting director Dave Ryan was spotted in Ferrari's motor home at Silverstone the other day.

For those of you who have a hard time remembering who is Dave Ryan, you might want to look back at this year's Australian Grand Prix and one of the first scandals that shattered the sport in 2009. Yes, we're talking about the lie-gate, an affair after which Ryan was sacked by the Woking based team, for whom he worked for more than three decades.

Ryan was found guilty by the McLaren management board for instructing reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton to lie to the FIA stewards regarding an on-track incident involving Toyota's Jarno Trulli. As a sign of good faith towards the FIA, McLaren proceeded to both sack Ryan and replace Ron Dennis at the helm of the Mercedes-backed team, hoping to find clemency from the ruling body.

The British outfit eventually got a suspended 3-race ban from the sport, something that many regarded as a “return of favor” from the FIA to McLaren's getting rid of Dennis in the process.

Considering Ryan's visiting schedule this weekend, it seems the 55-year-old New Zealander is yet not ready to wave Formula One good bye. Of course, this latest information could start a new “conspiracy theory” within the Formula One fans worldwide, but we're more inclined to believe Ryan is simply evaluating his options for an F1 return (until proven otherwise, of course).
