Dan Bilzerian is the perfect example of an Interned-made celebrity, with his poker-fuelled extravagant lifestyle earning him the VIP status amongst the world wide web masses. Bilzerian obviously likes to play with cars, but he recently did a bit of an on-line boo-boo.
The poker player recently posted an image of his Lamborghini Aventador Roadster on his Facebook acount, mixing this with some pretty heavy bragging. “Just bumped this bi**h up to 800hp, gonna need a max speed test ASAP... What's a better street for this, Sunset or Santa Monica Blvd?”
As you can imagine, such a cocky attitude couldn’t have been left without a reply, so one of his Facebook... friends was quick to deliver one. The man simply said “Ask Paul Walker.”
Trolling via a deceased person is less than cool, but the strong connection between Bilzerian’s question and Paul Walker’s speed-credited death was more than obvious.
We’ll remind you that Walker died as a passenger in a fiery Porsche Carrera GT crash late last year. Certain voices rushed to demonise the Porsche, but these were silenced - the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department came up with a partial report indicating the Carrera GT was doing 93 mph in a 45 mph zone when the crash took place. Moreover, the Carrera was running on old tires.
Bilzerian’s Aventador Roadster has new tires and all-wheel drive, so let’s hope these keep him out of trouble.
