OK, so the cars in Wacky Races really do exist? Our childhood is restored to its former glory! This bizarre car is supposed to be a 1959 Abarth 750 Record Monza that was customized especially for a TV show called Captain Satellite.
It looks absolutely disgusting, isn’t in perfect condition and can scare little kids away, but the seller from Livermore, California still wants a whopping $100,000 for it, which nobody is ever going to pay. Car history is relevant if it belonged to a president or was driven by Elvis, but this can’t be considered a collector’s piece.
It’s sad to see that somebody thinks they are in for a cash day for a car that’s not been restored, isn’t a runner and will surely create negative reactions while going down the street. And since the show was canceled decades ago, nobody will know what it actually is.
