Lexus has now gone bananas over design and new age mentality, a thing you can see in almost everything the company puts out, be it a new car, TV commercial or other fashion items. And you can join the fun too.
Remember when the Lexus RC F GT3 concept popped out at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, wearing only a pure white paint with some multicolored strokes randomly running on the body? Well, Lexus wants you to consider that a blank canvas and come up with your own ideas.
So if you feel artistic today, there’s an app called “daub” which can be downloaded from AppStore or Google play, that seems to turn your drawings into 3D objects you can rotate and play with in the augmented reality environment.
Of course, you also need a special template, with the Lexus RC F’s sides unwrapped on it. Just download it from bellow and then print it out on a sheet of paper. Grab your pens, pencils, markers or whatever you like, draw your special theme on the sides and then launch the app to scan model and turn it into a 3D object.
Here’s a tip if you’re not that good with freehand drawing: you can also load the template into your favorite editing program, draw the theme there and then print the model to be scanned by the smartphone app. Just don’t resize the image.
