Remember the special Lexus RC red shade obtained by double baking four coats of paint? The NX won’t have it. Instead, it will be available in this Matador Red Mica shade which suits it better.
That pearl red you saw on the RC was meant to inspire elegance and passion, attributes that define the stylish big-mouthed coupe. On the other hand, the NX crossover was presented as a one-piece-metal precision-carved killer machine made for taking on the urban jungle, while holding its occupants in total luxury on the inside.

This means it has nothing to do with warmth feelings and other butterfly-giving factors. Which is why we saw it wearing only sober shades, like white, silver, black and light metallic brown.

However, since there are a lot of crossover fan-ladies out there, Lexus applied the same treatment as with the new CT hybrid and decided to offer a shade for them to match their lipstick or dress - the Matador Red Mica.

Japanese blog Minkara posted the new color suiting a Lexus NX 200t F Sport model, which might be the only version to get it, since the automaker’s hybrid trademark color is Ultra White, often associated with the F Sport pack.

Well, the red shade somehow makes it look like a technological demon, but we still think it looks better in something less colorful. What’s your take?
