CODA Shuffles Management

The CODA EV producer and lithium-ion battery systems developer announced yesterday that its Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Czinger, has resigned by mutual consent. Steven “Mac” Heller is replacing Czinger as Interim Chief Executive Officer, while Mark Jamieson has become the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

The new moves are part of a larger plan that is seeing the company establish a strong team for manufacturing, marketing and sales. Czinger will continue to serve as a Senior Strategic Advisor and be a substantial shareholder for CODA.

Heller has been the Co-Chairman of CODA’s Board and has established business relationships with the executives, employees and business partners of the company throughout the U.S., China and Europe. Previously, he held multiple key executive positions at Goldman Sachs for a period of 20 years, including Worldwide Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as Co-Head of the Investment Banking Division.

CODA’s Board has debuted the process of selecting a new CEO, with the initiative being led by Daniel Weiss, managing partner of Angeleno Group.

Kevin's leadership role in developing and overseeing the CODA program was truly a remarkable achievement. Kevin and I have been friends for more than 20 years and I look forward to continuing our friendship and benefiting from his insight as our Senior Strategic Advisor," said Heller.

"I believe the depth of CODA's management team combined with the high caliber of its engineering talent will allow CODA to continue in its mission to accelerate the adoption of all-electric vehicles," the executive added.
