Just a few days ago, we showed you a puny (American puny that is) Henry J stuffed with a huge 8.6-liter Hemi V8 and a Vortech supercharger on top. Outrageous and startling at the same time, right? If these things are rather common in the US, from time to time we also get to see such projects being done in Europe as well.
There’s no huge V8 engine in this one, but the powerplant the guys over at Oemmedi-Meccanica fitted to a small Fiat 500 is no joke. Yes, we did say Fiat 500 and what’s more interesting is that we’re talking about the classic mini, which got a Lamborghini-source 6.2-liter V12 mill.
As things look, “throwing” that engine into one of the smallest production cars ever built was no easy task as the Fiat had to lose its rear seats and needed a complete makeover at the back. The 500 also gained a Lamborghini set of wheels, parts of the supercar’s rear fenders and even a working retractable rear wing.
While it doesn’t look too much of a Fiat 500 from the rear and profile, we happily “OK” Oemmedi-Meccanica’s project just because this “Fiatborghini V500” sounds awesome. Check it out for yourselves below:
