Tired of having to run from place to place to reserve your plane ticket, then your car, then another plane ticket and, possibly, in the end, a ferry ticket? Suffer no more, as Citroen decided to give birth, by its own, to a new integrated transport service.
Called Multicity, the service will rely on a website where those with a taste for travel will be able to reserve and buy plane, train tickets or rent a car. To add to the value of the new service, Citroen will also be giving the traveler the opportunity to make reservations at hotels and plan the journey well in advance of actually taking it.
For the moment, however, this very tempting offer made by Citroen will only be available in France. All the reservation services apply to the transportation means available in the country. Probably, if the program proves to be successful, the auto maker will expand the offer to include other countries as well.
Since the pool of Citroen customers who don't need plane or train tickets in France is quite large, the car maker thought to draw some more traffic onto the website by offering products and services designed for its own models.
“In our more urban, more complex and more connected world, getting around is not always easy. We need good knowledge of the various means of transport available to make our trips. In this changing world, where consumers put a premium on convenience, fluidity and diversity, Citroen will provide them a real solution starting tomorrow in France: Citroen Multicity,” says the French auto maker.
