Did you ever take a look at the carpet inside your car and say “Hey, this is such an important thing in my life!” Well, if the answer is “no”, think again. A shortage of carpets at Chrysler has made the company slow down production and cancel shifts this week at three of its facilities, as Reuters reports.
The carpets supplier, which is located on the East Coast was hit by the tropical storm Lee and was unable to make the delivers on schedule. Thus, Chrysler was forced to reduce production at Sterling Heights Assembly in Michigan, Toledo North in Ohio and Brampton Assembly in Ontario.
The issue affects the Chrysler 200 and 300, the Dodge Durango, Avenger and Challenger, as well as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty and Nitro.
