Chris Harris had a new dilemma and managed to solve it by taking the Mercedes AMG C63 S for a spin in both road and track conditions, but his praises went straight to the new smaller-capacity turbo engine under the performance sedan’s saloon.
As most of you might be aware of, the Mercedes AMG C63 S lost the classic 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine for a smaller turbo one - it’s still a V8, but we’re talking about a 4.0-liter twin turbo good for 510 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.

That’s no typo, it really delivers 700 Nm of torque and the value throws a dark shadow on the BMW M3 and the RS4 Avant, which only deliver 550 (406 lb-ft) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque, respectively. That being said, we bet you’re eager to see what does Chris Harris have to say on the AMG sedan.

What you should know is that Harris had a big crush on the car’s torque ever-present when needed, no matter what gear you’re in. He does however slightly hit at the quite conservative-elegant dose received by the AMG C63 S in terms of design, a bit less aggressive compared to the previous model.

Whether you like or not the car’s appearance is only a matter of taste, which we’re not very keen on discussing, since it can generate endless quarrels. But, and there’s a but here, the performance sedan can still blast from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.0 seconds while making the V8 and the exhaust system spit something we petrolheads like to call a symphony.

So, what would suit you better? The BMW M3 or the AMG C63 S? Have your say in the comments section after watching the video below.
