It appears the company has decided to prize their best people and surprise them with a little unexpected year-end bonus. Reports are the company is rewarding every member of staff with more than four months with a Tesla Model S. It’s not quite clear if all the employees will receive a car or they will drive it by turn, but according to Tesla Motors China, 12 cars were acquired so far.
Considering that the popular EV is selling for 734,000 yuan ($121,280) in China this basically means that the company has spent about 8.8 million yuan ($1.45 million) just for this bonus.
It sounds quite surprising, but it appears it’s some sort of a trend among China’s booming Internet companies who are constantly looking for new ways to compensate their best employees.
