Probably the most enticing BMW Concept of the last few years, the Vision Gran Turismo is, unfortunately, only destined for the virtual world, as it’s available exclusively inside the world created by Gran Turismo 6.
Even so, BMW released the specs it would have and they are beyond our wildest dreams. If we ever wanted the M2 to come to life before, now we’re just aching at the thought that we still have to wait at least a year before such a car becomes reality.

Unfortunately, the M2 won’t have such impressive specs but if it looks like this, it will be outselling the legendary M3 in just a few weeks. The real M car would be using a 3-liter turbocharged unit making around 380 HP and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque.

This ‘virtual’ one though, is a completely different story. It also using a 3-liter inline 6-cylinder unit but this one would be pushing 549 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque out to the rear wheels, numbers comparable to the ones posted by the S63 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 developed by the M division for the M5 and M6 models.

Furthermore, the weight would be significantly lower and perfectly distributed over the entire length of the car, adding up to just 1,180 kg (2,601 lbs). It’s quite a dream, right?

Well, for now, it’s going to stay that way and the only universe you’ll be driving it in is the one inside a PS3 console, powered by Gran Turismo 6.

Inside that universe, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo sounds really good and drives to match, as you can see in the video below. But would it be the same in real life considering the ludicrous power sent to the rear wheels and the minuscule weight?
