Porsche needed something to celebrate the fact that it’s managed to score 2,000,000 of its own fans on Facebook. So it decided to give back to the people by making a very special Cayman, livered in a unique way.
The color combination is inspired by that on one of their historic race cars, the 917 K that won them their first Le Mans victory. But instead of regular red, there’s a collage of red-tinted photos of Facebook fans. To show its appreciation for the Facebook fans, the car will be on display at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart until January 27th.

We like how a sportscar maker is getting recognition across the world these days. But they shouldn’t be so serious about it. The Cayman would have been far better of being sent on a global tour than sitting in a museum.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
