Usually, it takes at lest a full year for Porsche to release the Turbo version of the 911, but we can’t really go that long without our fix of supercar mayhem. But what to do?
The answer is obvious: we’ll have to go to rendering expert Wildspeed who has recently released a new set of images for the 2013 Porshe 911 Turbo for porscheboost.com. The images are base on the official photos for the production Carrera and combine accurate elements from the most recent spyshots and a bit of educated guesswork
The turbocharged 911 is expected to be a 3.8-liter monster with somewhere in the region of 550 horsepower going to all four wheels. Since the Carrera S recently Blitzed the Nurburgring with a time of 7:40, making it as fast as the 997 version of the GT3, it’s hard not to imagine this car drag racing the Nissan GT-R. Unfortunately, it might not be enough to take on the Ferrari 458 Italia, but the price difference between the two has grown substantially, so it shouldn’t be an issue.
