Caterham Says "Leaked" SUV Sketch Is Fake

Caterham Says "Leaked" SUV Sketch Is Fake 1 photo
Caterham was quick to dismiss an image that claimed to show the silhouette of its upcoming SUV, with the company explaining that this had nothing to do with its development.
The adjacent image, which showed up on Twitter, imitates similar sketched that had been released by the British automotive producer in the past, so this was a well planned scheme.

Nonetheless, Caterham has confirmed that the SUV plans are unchanged. We’ll remind you that the company previously stated it would develop an SUV, as well as a city by 2016, both joint venture projects with Renault. The cars target the Asian market.

Caterham wants to grab a healthy slice of the Asian market and it is aware that it can not rely solely on its sports cars in order to do so. The company sees the SUV as the main model that could guarantee its overseas sucess.
