Caterham Drive Experience Now Includes Advanced Drift Course

The Caterham Drive Experience (CDX) has been expanded to include an Advanced Drift Course, also at the helm of a Caterham Seven. This new experience is destined for those who have already tested their skills at the standard drift course, to help them hone their car control and gain further expertise, with one-on-one tuition from a qualified Caterham instructor.

Caterham’s official factory drive experience team already runs slalom, drift and circuit experiences at venues in the UK such as Silverstone and Brands Hatch.

The first Advanced Drift Course will be held at Brands Hatch on May 6 and will cost £295. Slots on this course will be limited to 16 per day, allowing each driver more time behind the wheel to hone their skills.

“CDX days have continued to be enormously popular – last year, we ran over 150 events! This new experience is much more tuition-based and participants will learn more about real driving technique, without losing the fun element of our standard drift course,” Caterham’s CDX Manager, Emma Bloomfield, said in a release.

“Drifting a Caterham Seven is a wonderful experience because you’ll really be able to feel how the car is behaving underneath you, and truly understand what it is like to balance a car on the throttle. Learning how to do it properly in a safe and controlled environment will teach you a lot about mastering a car’s handling. Also, holding the car in a massive tyre-smoking drift is enough to make even hardened petrolheads grin from ear to ear.”
