As many other videos we have posted clearly illustrate, crossing the street can be a real adventure, especially in countries where common sense is considered a myth. In Russia, you need real courage to even attempt to cross the street, even legally, on a crosswalk.
The two pedestrians in this video nearly get run over by a Mazda 3 sedan which gets rear ended right before reaching the crosswalk. The car veers to the left, heading straight for the two pedestrians (an elderly woman and a child), whom are forced to ‘take evasive action’ in order not to get hit.
In the end the car doesn’t touch them, but it just goes to show how far things can go and escalate in a split-second. This video reminds everybody to pay attention when crossing the road!
