As far as worst case scenarios go, ending up on the verge of being pinned in-between two speeding 18-wheelers definitely ranks very highly. This video, recently shot in Russia, shows just what a situation like that may look like in practice.
The driver of the car with the dash-mounted camera is just driving along, albeit in horrendous conditions of heavy rain and dirt being flung all over the place by passing trucks, and the driver of a red 18-wheeler up ahead suddenly changes lanes, probably not seeing the approaching car, due to the aforementioned visibility issue. The car is pushed onto the oncoming lane, where another truck was approaching.
The second truck hits the car, which stays pinned in-between the two moving trucks until they pass each other, a few meters later. The car driver was OK, as he immediately got out to assess the damage, and demand an explanation from the truck driver, who raises his hands and points at another truck which was stopped incorrectly on one of the road’s two lanes.
