Now that the brand new 2015 ATS Coupe has been unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, Cadillac says the ATS lineup, which now only has a sedan and a two-door, could include a wagon and a convertible version in the future.
“You’ve made the investment. You’ve built a brand within a brand. If you have a winner, you should exploit that and offer variations,” said Cadillac global chief Bob Ferguson.
However, the executive stressed that the Cadillac ATS won’t get as many version as its main BMW and Mercedes-Benz competitors: “We want to keep our focus on a limited number of vehicles and do them very well.”
The 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe is scheduled to go on sale later this year with a choice of two engines under the hood, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder (272 HP / 295 lb-ft) and a 3.6-liter V6 (321 HP / 275 lb-ft).
