The SUVs are a trend that was never supposed to happen. In the beginning, nobody predicted that these XXL-sized vehicles would conquer the market, with more and more consumers opting for such cars.

Europe has its fare share of over-sized four-wheel-drive vehicles and now there's a new one. Cadillac has decided to tackle the extra-strong German competition by bringing a new special edition of the Escalade to the market.

The Escalade Platinum edition comes with the regular long list of features, to which it adds most of the goodies that used to be optional extras. However this is not the end of the story, as the vehicle also comes with special features that are offered exclusively for this incarnation. This only leaves buyers with the decision on the exterior color. And we're not talking in a Ford model T way here.

The list of high-tech goodies includes a keyless entry system, electric-powered adjustable leather seats with memory function, xenon adaptive headlights and a satellite navigation system that uses a hard drive. As we are talking about a version of the Escalade, the deal also includes a new type of 22-inch rims.

As for the interior, this has been gifted with a Tehama aniline leather finish, which is used for the seats, instrument panel cover and center console, genuine burled walnut and olive ash wood trimming, which is assorted with aluminum trimming.

The passengers in the back can enjoy a dedicated entertainment system with a DVD player while all the passengers can use the heated and cooled cupholders.
