The hottest vehicle of all Buicks in the lineup, the Regal GS, is getting ready to put on the good clothes and take to the floor of the Los Angeles Auto Show, the place where, on November 17, the souped-up version of GM's interpretation of the Opel Insignia will meet its public for the first time.
The Regal GS, presented in the beginning of the month, sets itself apart from its less exciting peers by using an exclusive Ecotec 2.0l turbocharged and intercooled engine, tweaked into developing 255 horsepower (190 kW) and 295 lb-ft of torque (400 Nm).
The unit is paired to a six speed manual transmission (a six-speed automatic with Driver Shift Control will be out for grabs at a later date), while the power is transmitted to the ground with the help of a four-wheel independent system with HiPerStrut front suspension.
At the exterior, the Regal screams GS thanks to the unique styling cues, which include unique front and rear fascias rocker panel extensions and integrated rear spoiler. The car sits on 19-inch, 5-twin spoke alloy wheels and all-season tires.
Below is only a short list of what the GS has to offer:
