Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Aiming for Nurburgring Record?

Bugatti has started testing the Veyron Super Sport on the Nurburgring and the camraker seems to be willing to keep this out of the headlines, as it has released no official info. However, the vehicle was spotted lapping the Nordschleife and we’ve got a video that shows this happening.
Everybody is expecting Bugatti to attempt to set a new ‘Ring record, which means that the time to beat is 6:49 - this has been set by the Radical SR8LM, a lightweight track-focused car.

We’ll remind you that the Veyron Super Sport is powered by a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 unit thar delivers 1,200 hp and a peak torque of 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft). The vehicle can hit 431 km/h (268 mph), but Bugatti has limited customer cars to 415 km/h (258 mph).
