The life of a policeman is not easy, especially if you really love cars. Some unlucky policemen from the West Midlands Police force were exactly this kind of people.
While driving around, chasing a 27-year old man that had his driver's license suspended they ended up getting their brand new BMW X5 rammed, twice. Just before the suspect crashed into their car, you can actually hear one of them saying "please don't ram us!".

The car had only 400 miles on the odometer (640 km) and now it will probably have to stay in a service center for quite a while. After the driver of the flat-bed truck tried to disable the police car, he went pedal to the metal in hopes he'd get away.

Unfortunately for him, a police helicopter was already on the way and he was caught in no time, despite trying to outrun the cops. He was later sentenced to jail for 19 months and had his driver's license banned for seven years.

The damage done to the BMW adds up to around £5,000. That's nothing compared to what other damages he did to the cars he bashed in on the road.

“The BMW patrol car had only been with the force for a matter of days before the incident – we had some explaining to do when it was taken into our fleet mechanics for extensive repairs so early in its police service!” said Act Sgt Leaver of the West Midlands Police.
