In the previous month, BMW sales in China grew by 18 percent compared to the same month of last year. A grand total of 32,858 units were sold in the communist countries, the Bavarian company maintaining the second place in the premium segment.
The number one spot is being held by Audi at the moment, that managed to sell 41,117 units in the tenth month of 2013 alone. On a year-to-date comparison, BMW sales grew 20 percent to 317,822 units, overtaking the sales recorded in the US so far, this year.
On the long run, the introduction of new models might bring even further sales to the BMW-Brilliance joint venture, a possible overtaking of Audi being within reach. The two companies even filed for a government approval to boost their annual production to over 400,000 units.
