A recent inquiry in the field of HUD technology by the Detroit News showed that the miraculous system is getting more and more popular amongst motorists.
According to them, in a couple of years almost 10% of the cars will be fitted with the system, even thought, at the moment, only 2 percent have it on board. The system that shows relevant information directly within the driver's forward view is though, getting more and more popular.
The BMW system was always praised as one of the best in the field, mostly because of the way it displays information but also because of its visibility, despite most manufacturers struggling with the reflection-based system that still has flaws.
Even though at the moment, this optional feature seems a bit pricy, analysts expect it to become cheaper as the HUD market share will increase.
