BMW is currently developing a new driving assistance system that  will have a certain number of new features in addition to the already used ones like: BMW Night Vision, Hybrid Displays, HUD and Active Safety.
Before this new system can become reality and be fitted on various BMW models, it has to be tested. The experts over at BMW are using a dynamic driving simulator in order to create virtual scenarios that car occur in real-life.

This way, they can check how the new system will behave in case one of these unexpected situations appears. The main goal of this kind of virtual testing is to observe how the driver interacts with the new assistance system in various traffic situations.

This testing device allows the BMW engineers to test the new software at early stages without putting innocent people and other drivers at an unnecessary risk. Hopefully we'll get to see what the German engineers are currently working on as soon as possible.
