It seems that the BMW Ring Taxi has had its first serious crash, with an M5 bring involved in an accident that took place on a wet Nordschleife.
Judging by the adjacent images, the M5 went through a pretty serious series of impacts. It seems that things went wrong while the M5 was going through the first left-hander after the Karussell, a high-speed bend.
You can see a collection of deep damage signs of the car, front the dented front end to the massive destruction at the rear of the BMW.
The airbags were obviously deployed and it appears that they’ve done their job well, as nobody is believed to have been seriously injured in the unfortunate event.
However, the details of the crash are limited at the moment. Like we said in the intro, this wasn’t the first accident that involved a Ring Taxi, but it was the first severe one. The Ring Taxi’s had a solid reputation for keeping its customers safe and we’ll have to see what happens now.
