Range Rovers used to be all about hunting ducks in the wild, going to shops for a spot of Poupon Mustard and joining the fellows over at the country club. But right after they started sticking perforated grilles and LED lights, these British SUV started being bought by football players and rappers.
The transition was inevitable, and now Range Rovers are now developed at the Nurburgring. Sure, they're still good offroad, but they also have to be very fast.
The next two vehicles we expect from Land Rover will definitely reflect this, the hot Range Rover Sport RS & Range Rover Evoque RS. To be honest, we don't exactly know what they will be called. "R" and "S" are typically Jaguar letters, which might or might not stick to the back of these SUVs.
The hot Evoque is reportedly going to be powered by a supercharged V6, similar to the ones introduced to the Jaguar F-Type.
Meanwhile, the Range Rover Sport RS will undoubtedly have a 550 PS 5-liter supercharged engine, making it the fastest and most powerful car they've ever made.
We actually believe this last model will be officially revealed at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, about a month from now.
