Wednesday, October 16, 2013, in Munich at the BMW Museum, BMW Motorrad celebrated its 90th anniversary. The event, worthy of worldwide recognition, also saw the world debut of the BMW R nineT.
As expected, a lot of BMW Motorrad officials were present as well as notable guests from around the world from the fields of media, politics and business. Apart from the brand new R nineT, the BMW C evolution scooter was also discussed, the first serial production single-track electrically powered vehicle to be produced in Bavaria.

"In terms of future challenges, BMW Motorrad always has its ear to the ground and will take on a pioneering role. We will continue to strengthen our core segments in the future as well as moving into new segments, markets and target groups by offering the appropriate products," said Stephan Schaller, President of BMW Motorrad.

In the end, the focus was yet again moved on the brand new BMW R nineT, a motorcycle that was reduced to the absolute essentials, with an impressive hand-crafted feel and high-end materials that allows a plethora of customization options to be installed.

"The BMW R nineT captures the essence of 90 years of BMW Motorrad fascination. It combines the concept of a pure, classic boxer roadster with innovative technology to create a highly emotional motorcycle," said Schaller.
