The entire automotive world is waiting for the release of the new BMW M3, but this is still pretty far away, so meanwhile we’re inviting you to enjoy another piece of M3-related news, as BMW Motorsport has introduced the M3 DTM Safety Car over the weekend.
This is based on the current generation of the M3, the GTS version, to be more precise, and has been gifted with multiple goodies from the M Performance Accessories range, such as the exterior mirrors, front fascia ornaments and an M Performance steering wheel.
The vehicle also comes with features such as roll cage, a pair of Recaro bucket seats, a redesigned bonnet that comes with carbon fiber reinforced plastic air vents, as well as a set of orange roof lights. The engine has remained unchanged, which means that the coupe can use 450 hp to tame the DTM racers.
