Even though we reported that the BMW M2 would get a set of M Performance Parts a while back (basically as soon as the car came out), we didn’t get to take a proper look at them until now. Wanting to benefit from the marketing the Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) event brings to the table, the Germans chose it as the perfect spot to officially launch the add-ons for the new M car.
The M2 Coupe will, therefore, be available with parts that were specially developed for it, from the M Performance catalogue. These include the black gloss trim grilles with M-specific twin trim bars for the front kidney grille elements, featuring trim ring surrounds that are also finished in gloss black. This may seem peculiar since they bring absolutely no improvement regarding performance, but if BMW decided to include them on this list, who are we to disagree?

Black gloss is apparently one of the favorite colors for the M Performance catalogue, trim bars in the same color for the side M gill elements being available now. The same can be said about BMW M Performance exterior mirror caps that are made of carbon fibre.

Round the back, you’ll find a new rear spoiler in carbon fiber finish, as well as tailpipe trims finished in the same lightweight material. On the performance side of things, you can get a lowered suspension for the M2 as well as a new exhaust with a flap system.

Inside the cabin, you can decorate your driving experience with a new M Performance steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara with an open-pore carbon fiber trim element on it, as well as more carbon fiber for nearly every possible trim inside. From the gearshift lever to the entire center console and dash, every trim can be turned into carbon fiber.

Unfortunately, the parts will be reaching their customers for the first time in spring 2016, along with the first deliveries of the M2 Coupe, so until then, we need to rely on the adjacent photos to figure out what the car is going to look like with them on.
