BMW JobChannel on Facebook and Twitter

So far, we've seen car manufacturers advertising their vehicles on social networks, with the Americans from Ford taking all the Web 2.0 frenzy to a whole new level with their Ford Fiesta launch campaign. So far, however, no manufacturer that we know of tried to hire personnel via the likes of Facebook and Twitter.

That all changed today, however, as BMW announced the launch of the JobChannel career page on the two aforementioned social networks, targeting schoolchildren, students, graduates and professionals who seek to work for a premium carmaker.

“Our activities in the field of social media aim to give users the opportunity to discuss career issues with us and at the same time allow us to tell them about our innovative and exciting projects,” Christine Regler, BMW head of International HR Marketing said in a statement.

The BMW career Facebook page can be accessed at the following link. The page has an integrated job search function linked to the Twitter page. Should no jobs be available at any given moment, the Twitter page will be used to alert followers on the specific new job openings that meet certain criteria selected by the users.

We took the liberty to look into what job openings are currently available with BMW and we found out that most of them are in Munich.

Inciting enough? Well, as said, BMW if offering everything you need to make that first step towards what you may call a career so good luck!

PS: While you're at it, you can also check out our Twitter and Facebook page as well.
