BMW HP4 Official Presentation

BMW has just posted their all-new, official video presentation for the acclaimed sportsbike HP4.
The footage highlights some of the key elements which make the HP4 stand out from the crowd. In the wake of the new Ducati 1199 Panigale, which is at the moment the lightest sports bike of the segment, the new HP4 has also shaved off some 9 kg (19.8 lbs) thanks to some design upgrades and the extensive use of carbon fiber.

This new bike also introduces state-of-the-art technology in terms of traction control and suspension management. With the help of the Dynamic Damping Control, the rider can select between multiple settings on the fly and adjust the suspension according to the present road conditions, allowing for better steering faster acceleration.

BMW HP4 also introduces the so-called launch control feature, an additional throttle control minimizing wheel slip when starting form a standing point or when accelerating violently.

It will be “game on” on both street and track days between the rest of the sport bikes out there and the great pretender. Since the bike will be in the dealerships' showrooms quite soon, we expect a really hot summer.
