Just two weeks separate us from this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, possibly one of the biggest and most exclusive events for historic cars and motorcycles. However, not only old models are being showcased at these events but also futuristic concepts that will shape the direction in which a brand is heading.
BMW is one of the companies that released various concepts through the courtesy of this event over the years. For example, just last year we saw the BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept at the show, after its premiere at Pebble Beach, a car that previews the new 7 Series and other models in the range.

In 2013, the Germans chose the same venue to launch the Gran Lusso Coupe concept, and the examples can continue with cars like the M1 Homage and Zagato Coupe.

This year, BMW refused to disclose its entire line-up from the get go within its first press release about the Concorso d’Elegance. However, they did mention that they will “be represented by two sensational exhibits from the field of concept vehicles.”

What exact concepts these will be is still a big question mark. The truth of the matter is, we never really got to see a concept car for the 7 Series as everyone used the Vision Future Luxury concept as a starting point. This could be a possibility.

At the same time, the X7 is currently being developed, and we have no idea how it will look like or what it will feature. All we know is that it will offer more room than any other SUV in the range, and it will be extremely luxurious, traits of character that fit the profile for such an event.

Last but not least, the M2 Concept could also be a possibility. We were deprived of a concept for the M car as well and since it will enter production in November, the Germans might want to hurry up if they want to launch a concept ahead of the production car.
