For the last couple of years, the guys from MotorTrend had a contest, looking for the best driver's car each time, getting the best cars in the world together and pitting them against each other.
This year, the BMW car that entered their limited 12 car list is the F13 M6. With 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque coming out of a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 and a 7-speed DCT gearbox, the M6 is actually BMW's recommendation for the contest.
However, it won't be easy to win this test, as the competition is something fierce, including names like the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon, the facelifted Audi R8 V10, the updated GT-R, the Porsche Cayman S and the Brand new 911 4S, the new SLS Black Series, the SRT Viper, the Focus ST, the new Vanquish, Bentley Continental GT Speed and the Jaguar F-Type.
So, there you have it. All the cars that will be entering this year's MotorTrend Driver's Car of the Year. For the results we'll have to wait a bit but it sure looks like a hell of a contest.
