A while ago a trend started amongst various drivers from New York: setting the fastest lap of Manhattan. No, there isn't a new track in NY but on normal roads, in the Empire State city.
In 2001, a man called Alex Roy posted a time of 27 minutes. A while later, a group called CBC claimed they broke that record with a 26:03 time (it was 2010). Now, a new challenger appeared, goes by the name of Afroduck.

He posted a video on Youtube showing a 24:07 time around Manhattan, starting from 116th St. on the FDR heading downtown, up the Henry Hudson Highway, and back down to 116th Street.

After seeing the video, New York Police Department Ray Kelly declared war on Afroduck, probably wanting to stop other people from trying this sort of stuff. The thing is, what you're going to see in the video is not that uncommon.

Actually, we're seeing people do this every day on our daily commutes and some of them do it a lot worse than Afroduck here. At least he knows what he's doing and breaks the law but keep everyone safes while he's doing it. Let's be honest, some people do this sort of thing and they have no idea what they're doing wrong, endangering us and themselves.

We just heard that NYPD just arrested the driver and are going to charge him with something. What that could be, we don't know yet but we're guessing he'll walk out after paying a couple of fines.

Oh, and before we forget, he's driving a BMW E85 Z4 with a 3-liter engine and manual gearbox, a true driver's car!
