Well, if you thought that navigation today offers too little information for your trip, you are in for a surprise, because Toyota’s sat navs will use Google Street View from next year.
Called Toyota Touch 2, the new system will provide users direct access to Google-sourced imagery and geo-tagged photos, so drivers will already know how their destination will look like before even start driving towards it. And the good thing is that the system will be available for budget cars too.

"While the latest in-car technologies have traditionally been available in luxury vehicles, we’re bringing best-in-class connectivity to our mainstream brands," said Daniele Schillaci, senior VP of sales and marketing for Toyota in Europe, in a blog post.

All the new features will be displayed of the automaker’s nextgen Touch system, which will get four times the number of actual pixels and a screen up to 8 inches.
