The BMW Art Car collection is set to pay its first ever visit to the UK, with the event scheduled to take place in a landmark car park in Shoreditch, London, from July 21 to August 4. This will be a part of the London 2012 Festival, a 12-week nation-wide celebration that is set to run until September and will bring together a long list of artists.
The BMW Art Car collection, which has a story that starts over 35 years ago, includes names from some of the top artists in the world: Alexander Calder, Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Ernst Fuchs, Robert Rauschenberg, M.J Nelson, Ken Done, Matazo Kayama, Cesar Manrique, Jeff Koons, A.R Penck, Esher Mahlangu, Sandro Chia, Jenny Holzer and David Hockney.

As a preparation for the project, the BMW Art Car by Jef Koons was photographed in front of the Tower Bridge earlier this week.
