BMW Announced X1 UK Pricing

BMW has just published the pricing for their X1 models sold in the United Kingdom. A month ago BMW revealed the pricing list for the German market and now has complemented that with the pricing list for the United Kingdom.

BMW's pricing policy has been adapted to the current car industry situation and the global finance limitations. More important, the Bavarian manufacturer wished to properly price the X1 amid its model range so it can better reflect it's position and target audience.

The entry-level rear-wheel drive sDrive18d SE 143 (HP) starts at £22,660 in the UK, with the all-wheel drive version selling for £23,940. The more powerful sDrive20d with 177 (hp) was priced at £24,205 and the xDrive20d at £25,510.

The most expensive X1 model is the xDrive23d with 204 (hp) and a 0-62 mph time of 7.3 seconds, at £29,055.The prices include delivery, number plates, first registration fee and BMW Emergency Service.

The new X1 line-up from BMW features engines that comply with EU5 emissions standard, 17” light alloy wheels, DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter – for the diesel variants), BMW Mobility System, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Park Distance Control (PDC), Tire Puncture Warning System (TPWS) and Start-Stop system (including the diesel versions), all as standard kit.

BMW hopes to manage through the current unstable economic climate, with increased sales of this model, which comes to bring "BMW quality engineering at attractive prices to a broader audience". The X1 enters the contemporary thriving market of efficient urban SUVs.
