Details of the first BMW M3 Dakar Yellow to be made available in the US have been released today by IND-Distribution, presenting us with the "admirable and different look of the car," as the tuner says.

The tuning of the E92 M3 has involved tampering with almost all aspects of the car, starting with the paint job and ending with the ride height. The long list of mods used for the creation of the M3 Dakar Yellow is listed below.

  • Eisenmann Sport Performance LeMans tips
  • Brembo 365×34mm / 345×28mm brakes
  • 18” HRE Monoblock Race Wheels
  • Nitto NT05 275/35/18 all around
  • BBS Stud conversion kit
  • KW Clubsport Kit
  • AA Software
  • Vorsteiner Polyurethane front lip spoiler (Gloss black)

To make the M3 what it is, the tuners say they went to all the required lengths to make the Dakar Yellow what it is. Unfortunately, the tuner has not provided new performance figures, if any, they take pride in creating the Dakar Yellow after consulting with Grand Am Cup winning race teams,

"The IND Portfolio project – Dakar Yellow E92 M3 is a car that we cant miss in the fastlane, the reason is hiding (or screaming) in the admirable and different look of the car," said the tuner.

We are still waiting for official specifications and prices, so keep an eye out for later updates.
