BMW 760i and 760 iL Become G-power Storm

The G-Power BMW-only tuner’s specialists always have a malefic look when they target a new model to experiment on, simply because they know that they will tune it beyond recognition, first of all from the driver’s point of view. And their latest creation, the Storm, is no exception to this rule: the flagship 760i, together with long-wheelbase 760iL brother, has received an extreme treatment from G-Power.

The car’s twin turbocharged 6.0 V12 now produces a staggering 725 HP at 5,500 rpm and an impressive peak torque of 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) available from 2,000 rpm. This is quite an increase form the stock values of 544HP and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). To pack that much heat, the engine has received many modifications, including increased boost pressure, larger injection valves and a new exhaust system. The stock eight-speed automatic gearbox has also been tweaked, in order to cope with the new power and torque levels.

The exquisite sedan have also received a revised suspension that lowers them by 30 mm. The 7 now rides on 22 inch bespoke rims, wrapped in Michelin tires: 265/30 for the front wheels and 295/25 for the power-transferring rear wheels.

G-power promises some serious performance figures for the Storm, as the company claims that the first hundred will be dealt with in a supercar-matching 4.2 seconds, while the 200 km/h mark will be reached in 11.9 seconds and the top speed will reach 345 km/h (215 mph).

The Storm comes dressed in a complete body kit comprising of a special bonnet featuring Kevlar air vents, new front and rear bumpers, carbon fiber side skirts, a boot lid spoiler and a rear diffuser.

G-power says that the car treats its passengers with multiple unique features, such as a carbon fiber trim for the door panels, central console and dashboard. The driver gets a sports steering wheel, and a fresh speedometer. However, no pictures of the saloon’s interior have been released.

Only 10 units of the Storm will be produced: the 760i will cost $495,500 (365,000 euro), while the 760iL will be priced at $510,000(375,000 euro).
