Last November, Noelle Motors tuned the new BMW M4 coupe to have as much power as an M5. Now the tuners are back with something a little bigger and more luxurious, a 6 Series Grand Coupe that they've turned into the ultimate luxury led sled.
In order to have room to flex its muscles, the German tuner started off with the 650i version of the Gran Coupe, which has the same displacement as an M6 yet produces only modest power. What's more, its base car comes with xDrive, just so it can rub it in the M6's face.
The 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 found under the hood of this four-door coupe normally produces 450 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Those are decent numbers that you can easily compare to the Audi S7.
However, the stage 4 kit from Noelle manages to squeeze out 172 hp and 123 Nm (91 lb-ft) of extra torque. This brings the total output to 622 hp and 773 Nm (571 lb-ft). Yeah, in an all-out battle with the new RS7 performance, this thing will win. The new 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 3.7 seconds clearly reflects this and proves German turbo engines have a lot more to give than their manufacturers let them.
Featuring an elegant copper metallic body wrap, the 6er Gran Coupe sits on a set of custom 20-inch Y-spoke alloys from Noelle wrapped in 245/35 ZR20 front and 275/30 R20 rear Pirelli P Zero tires. Inside, the only major update is that the standard instrument cluster has been replaced by one from the M6.
This is only the latest in a long line of engine upgrades for the 6 Series Gran Coupe, arguably one of the sexiest cars made by this automaker. For the 640d, the Stage 1 kit currently offered delivers 350 hp and 700 Nm of torque.
With the 640i, Noelle has further boosted the peerless turbocharged 3-liter straight six engine. With an output of up to 400 hp and 590 Nm, it's best not to mess with this car.
